Ahh, yes. Music festivals, indeed, are one of the things I would love love love to go to. The booming sound of drums and guitars make one's feet unconsciously tap to the beat. This was the first time I attended CinemaJam, and it was quite an experience. When I saw the list of bands and artists, I immediately called everyone on my phone's contact to accompany me to the event, and I'm lucky enough to convince a friend.
The event was held at Greenfield District Mandaluyong. We bought the tickets upon entrance for PHP 510.00 and we were fashionably early.
There were activities for the attendees that they could enjoy for free. One of them was bungee trampoline, and it was the only activity that got my attention. As I watched others, I criticized them on how un-thrilling they jumped. They could jump higher, but they chose not too! I saw in their faces the usual fear of heights and I was challenged to try it myself. Well, too bad I lost the battle to my fear of heights as well. I know. Pretty lame.
Afternoon performers include Autotelic, Cheats, Group Hug, Banda ni Kleggy, Chocolate Factory, Pedicab, and Imago. I may not be familiar with most of the songs played, but that's because these were new bands. I have to admit, it was a bit disappointing that the event was not as jam-packed as I expected. Having this as my first time to attend a concert outside campus, it made me think how can these bands give an energetic show with just a handful of audience passively watching, with a few occasional cheering. I just have to say, Banda ni Kleggy was a delight to watch! Did not know any of their songs, but the lead vocalist was dancing to the beat, and it could not get any funnier! I was enjoying this!
After the performance by Itchyworms, they started the outdoor movies. First was Letters to Juliet, followed by Now You See Me. I have watched both movies, so instead of sticking with the programme, we just ate dinner as we were starving!
It was a killjoy that it suddenly rained. Luckily, the venue was close to a mall, so it was not that hard to find a place to dine in. The weather may not have been on our side, but it did not stop us from enjoying the event! As sticky as we were from the sweat and the rain, the night was turning better and better as audiences were hyped by Urbandub and yes! Bamboo!
Look at the crowd! We were all excited for Bamboo!

The jam finished at almost 12 in the midnight. No regrets! Thanks Cinema Jam!
