Taking a break from the city's hustle and bustle, my best friend and I decided to spend our Saturday in Pinto Art Museum.

To be frank, as a child, I find taking tours at the museum boring. Hung on walls are different paintings that do not at all make sense to me. But as I grow older and wiser, I have developed appreciation to art, a better understanding of how these weird pieces make you reflect and relate to life.

January 16, 2015 - Agatha and I met at Pasay Mcdonalds just near the MRT Station.  Going to the museum, the travel was roughly 1.5 hours, and the accessibility is no trouble for people coming from Manila.

When we arrived, what initially took our breaths away is the architecture of the museum, which somehow has the feel of Santorini, Greece. The amount of green we saw in the whole area was refreshing. Nature is indeed one of the highlights when describing the ambiance of Pinto Art Museum.

Having to walk numerous steps to see the gallery, it was liberating to feel one with nature, like it was almost therapeutic. While walking, one would find lots of fancy doors and beds just placed in the most random places. Guess it wasn't called "Pinto" Art Museum for nothing. "Pinto" means door in Filipino.

It is interesting how it took us the whole afternoon to roam around the museum and we still haven't seen all of it. There were really good pieces, some were mind boggling even. Unlike other museums, Pinto Art Museum does not choose an audience to reach out to, as every single piece in here will give you something to think about, whether you're an art expert or not.

Overall, atmosphere was calm and easy. Pinto Art Gallery is a great place to relax and spend the time just appreciating everything, reminds you to take it slow on living life.
